Prose
“Mired” - a short horror set on WWI’s Western Front about a woman soldier who volunteered to enlist under false pretenses and how she deals with the enormity, the guilt and. . . something else.
“Southern Ontario Gothic” - a very short cosmic horror story set in a Canadian trailer park about a woman wondering why everyone else is drawn to the lake.
“Last Halloween” - a Halloween-set, semi-comedic micro-fiction about a volcano, the end of the world, and a very specific serial killer.
“To Strike a Match” - an apocalyptic cosmic horror re-telling of The Little Match Girl, with a sapphic love story.
Poetry
“The Sonnet of the Two Princes in the Tower” - a very Shakespearean sonnet about ambition, and the prices that innocents may pay. Inspired by Richard III.
“Seafoam Sestina” - A sestina (a complex, fixed-verse, non-rhyming poem) about vengeance and sisterhood under the waves.
“In the Urban Darkness, Something” - A bittersweet poem of love, loss, and a fungal apocalypse. Bonus: I also read it aloud in audio, in a casual way (also linked on this site).
Audio
“Kept” on The NoSleep Podcast - a gothic Western about a sex worker who fears the man she has taken up with might not be who she’d hoped.
